In today’s lesson, we will draw a simple knife also a 3d knife. Only by adding a few shades and depth, you can see the digital effects on it. It’s a very simple and easy drawing, without any complexity.

How to Draw 3D Knife:
In this, we will learn to draw 3d knife with shades and highlights.
Step 1: Start drawing 2 very basic shapes for the outline of the knife, For the handle draw a rectangle at 45 degrees and a reverse trapezium that is the irregular rectangle with a pointed end as shown in the image for the blade.
Step 2: Start drawing your knife by using your 2 shapes. Draw a curvy lower edge of the blade and 2 small curves in the handle for the grip. With 2 small circles draw screws. Your knife outline is ready, erase the outlines.
Step 3: At this step draw blades with grey color and handle with the brown color. Color the screws with grey.
Step 4: Up to this point your knife is ready, you can give it more definition and depth by shading. Mark another area, shown with a pink line in the image below on the blade and the handle.
Step 5: For the reflection of the knife as mostly made of metal, draw a few lines on the blade and an outline around the lower side of the blade.
Step 6: Shade the knife blade a little darker other than the areas marked. It will give shiny
texture and depth to it.
Step 7: Your knife is ready still if you want can add a few lines on the handle to enhance its beauty.
How to draw Simple Kitchen Knife:
We are drawing a horizontal knife with the sharp side down.
Step 1: Start by drawing the upper part of the knife with help of a line little curvy towards one side of the page.
Step 2: Move the line backward direction drawn in the last step forming the sharp side of the blade.
Step 3: On the right side draw the handle of the knife, as in the image below and your basic kitchen knife is ready.
Step 4: Draw 3 circles on the handle for the rivet, and add a parallel line curvy at the end on the blade for a sharp edge.
Step 5: Shade the outlines drawn in the last step, add a few shady lines on the blade as well to give it a realistic look, After contouring your knife is ready for chop-chop.
