How to Draw a Giraffe 

Step 1: Draw a small circle on the left top of the page for the head of giraffe.  Then 2 ovals on the right side of the head a little below it. By connecting these figures with lines you will form neck and spine for your giraffe. 

 

 

Step 2: Draw the snout and long which getting thick near to chest. Connect 2 ovals drawn for chest and pelvis, then draw torso. star drawing long legs keeping joint and hooves in mind.

Step 3: Outline the body of the giraffe by drawing a guideline line. Draw other details also in this step as horns, eyes, and ears. Following the neckline draw long mane of Giraffe You can refer our illustration given below for any help.

Step 4: In this step erase all the guidelines drawn. Observe Giraffe below and start drawing details in your giraffe drawing. Up to this time, it is almost similar to giraffe only missing is distinctive details.

 

 

Step 5: At this step give your Giraffe a realistic look by drawing patches all over the body. This step needs a lot of patience while drawing. Spots must be large on neck and small on legs. There is no perfect shape for the patches, keep them in angular form only.

 

 

 

Step 6: Shade the spot’s light and dark outline. To create more attractive shadows, sketch it with light lines and then darken it later were required.

 

How to draw Giraffe head :

Step 1: Draw a large U shape at the middle bottom of the paper.

Step 2: Draw nostrils attached to U shape, forming a small m and 2 ovals inside.

 

Step 3: Draw sides of the head with similar lines.

 

Step 4: By taking lines inward start forming horns for the giraffe.

 

Step 5: Above the head draws 2 symmetrical horns.

Step 6: Draw the eyes and large lashes over it.

Step 7: Both sides of the head draw 2 ears and from below the head neck for the giraffe.

 

Step 8: Add patterns on the body to make it look more resemble. Draw background gives it a realistic look.
